We Have Peaked

The average high and low has now peaked for the year.  Our average high has been and will be 83 degrees until early August and then start the slow decline through the rest of the year and eventually bottom at 18 degrees in January.  Our average low is now at 60 degrees and will also stay at that point for the rest of the month before it begins the slow fall and will bottom out at -1 degree in January.

This rate of decline for both the average high and low will be very subtle for the next few weeks.  The average high will be at or above 80 degrees until August 26 and the average low will stay at 57 degrees or higher until August 21.  It will be in September that you will definitely start to notice a more rapid decline in temperatures.

hat month the average highs will go from 77 degrees on the 1st to 64 degrees on the 30th and the average lows drop from 53 degrees to just 41 by the end of that month.

  1. Kyle,

June and July combined will very likely end up in 2nd place (I haven’t calculated the first half). Only 1988 was warmer, although 1988 the first 2/3rds of summer was over 1 degree warmer (significant), this year will, if my extended forecast is fairly accurate, we will only best 1933 and 1936 by a tenth or two, so it could end up in 3 or 4th place if we end up a smidge cooler these next few days. It has been the morning lows, not the highs this summer (although they have obviously been quite warm too) that has made us rank so high.
